IndyCar's Juncos Hollinger Racing sign former Williams F1 engineer Brown
David Brown joins the IndyCar squad to continue a motorsport career that dates back to 1981 with Williams Racing

IndyCar squad Juncos Hollinger Racing has announced the signing of longtime motorsports veteran David Brown as its technical director ahead of the 2025 campaign.
The former Williams Formula 1 engineer has five decades of experience in racing and will replace Yves Touron, who is leaving JHR after joining in 2022.
Brown’s motorsport career began with Williams in 1981, where he helped guide Nigel Mansell and Alain Prost to the F1 world championship before joining David Coulthard at McLaren in 1996.
Ricardo Juncos, co-owner and founder of JHR, said: “I believe the wealth of knowledge and perspective that David brings will help us fight our way up the grid during the 2025 IndyCar season.
“I would also like to take this opportunity to acknowledge the incredible contributions that Yves Touron has made to JHR.
“His expertise and professionalism have been truly unparalleled. We wish him all the best in his future endeavors.”

During his time with McLaren, Brown ran its Formula 3000 operation - under the West Competition banner - and won the 1999 title with Nick Heidfeld.
Brown soon departed for Jordan before leaving the Irish squad in 2002 and venturing into sports car racing with the American Le Mans Series and IMSA.
In his new role for JHR, Brown is set to oversee all aspects of the team’s technical development, working alongside the engineering staff, drivers and management.
“I’m delighted to accept this opportunity and look forward to working with the team,” he said. “The NTT IndyCar Series is fiercely competitive, and it’s a challenge I am ready to embrace.”
He joins a team that made its IndyCar Series debut in 2017 before scoring its maiden podium this year at the Milwaukee Mile with veteran Conor Daly.
“I’m excited to welcome David to Juncos Hollinger Racing,” said Brad Hollinger, co-owner of JHR. “His presence reinforces our commitment to continued advancement on the technical side of the team. His vast experience in F1, as well as other forms of motorsport, will benefit the team from day one.
“I also want to thank Yves for his significant contributions to JHR and wish him a fulfilling and prosperous future.”
